WKHS Cross Country is hosting its first meet since 2014 on Wednesday, 10/4. We are hosting eight other schools and expect well over 250 athletes to participate. The first of three races starts at 5:15 p.m., and we hope to have all runners in the last race off the course by 7:00 p.m.
The course goes from the road behind the visitor’s bleachers, across the field along Platt Springs, around the Medical Center addition, then around the building and across the grass by the bus loop, then around the portables and down the gravel road, and then behind the baseball field and onto the stadium road again. That’s lap one. Lap two is the same except that it cuts between the softball and baseball fields and finishes in the stadium.
Vehicles entering and exiting White Knoll grounds or otherwise traveling on school grounds may be delayed during a race for the safety of the runners. We realize that other events are scheduled at WKHS but are hopeful that we won’t encounter any serious difficulties tomorrow. We ask that everyone be considerate of all of the athletes and volunteers, and if possible, cheer on the Timberwolves during the races, which start and finish at the stadium.
