The White Knoll Timberwolf defense bounced back from a bad performance against Aiken to shut out Gray Collegiate Academy 48-0 at the Wolf Den Wednesday night. Junior Emori Mills had 3 interceptions and a fumble recovery while Jacob Bannister added an interception as well. David Kinard blocked a punt and returned it for a score while Caleb Meyerand, Tyrus Anderson and Brandon Keisler led the team in tackles while holding Gray to 27 yards rushing.
Offensively, Aveon Smith and Jamias Holloway led the team on the way to 263 yards rushing. Smith was also 9-13 in the air with two TDs. Jaelin Gray hooked up with Braxton Evans for the first TD of the year for both as well. Darius Derrick Jones also notched his first TD of the year as well.
The win was the fourth in a row for the young Wolves and next up is rival Lexington next Friday night in the Wolf Den.
