The Chapin Eagles scored 14 points in the final 10 minutes of the game to defeat White Knoll 21-17 Friday night at Chapin. The Timberwolves scored on a 32 yard TD from Aveon Smith to Darius Derrick-Jones on the opening possession of the third quarter to push their lead to 17-7, but a slew of costly penalties in the fourth quarter ended WK drives and extended drives for Chapin as the loss dropped the Timberwolves to 4-3 on the year, 0-2 in the region. Smith again led the Timberwolves offense, going 14-28 passing for 205 yards and rushing for 129. Kennedy Ramsey had 5 catches to lead the Timberwolves, and Aidan Myers hauled in a 57 yard TD reception as well. Stephen Wilburn had 3 catches as well. Ty Shealy had his best game as a Timberwolf, the sophomore totaling 3 tackles, 2 tackles for loss and registering a sack. Caleb Meyerand had 12 tackles to lead the defense and Emori Mills had another interception to bring his total to 5 for the year.
The Timberwolves return to action Friday night at Spring Valley.
