Last Wednesday on September 4, WKHS Swim Team swam a double dual meet against Lexington and Irmo. We fell short in the score, finishing in the third spot. Our Timberwolf swimmers held their own. In the women’s events, Andras Warczyglowa finsh second in the 200 and 400 freestyle, while Mykayla Purscell completed her 200 IM race in 3rd. 7th graders and newcomer, Katie Holmes finish 3rd in the 100 Breaststroke. Others swimmer swam near their personal best times and improving greatly. For the Men’s events, they were lead by Chance Purscell who finished 1st against Irmo in the 200 IM and 2nd in the 100 Back, and Clay Crews finished 3rd in the100 Breaststroke. Our men gave it their best with one missing in action (sick) and 2 other swimmers giving it their all while swimming ill.
WKHS Swim team will be in action twice this week. On Wednesday, Sept 11, they will be at Topspin competing against River Bluff HS and RNE. And then turn around on Thursday, Sept 12, going to The Woodlands to swim Spring Valley and Dreher. Go Luck Swimming Timberwolves.–
