In the month of February, we would like to Spotlight African American Athletic Trainers. The very first athletic trainer that we would like to feature is our very own Chris Dugan, ATC. We are very fortunate to have Chris here at White Knoll High School. Thanks for all you do!
“My name is Christopher Dugan and I am one of the Athletic Trainers at White Knoll High School. I graduated from Stall High School in North Charleston in 2001. Before getting into Athletic Training my first two degrees were in Graphic Design and Media Arts. I made the drastic change to Athletic Training when my father had a heart attack in 2015. He had gone back to school and was set to graduate from Charleston Southern that weekend. That motivated me to go back to school too. I was always active and thought Athletic Training would be a good fit, and of course I fell in love with the profession. I graduated from The University of South Carolina with a BS in Athletic Training in 2019. I have found the connection you get to make with the athletes is like no other. White Knoll has been a great place to work at, and I have enjoyed my time and making connections with players, coaches, and staff here.”
