Marlena Perez didn’t allow a single run against Chapin, throwing a complete game shutout and leading White Knoll Timberwolves Varsity to a 3-0 victory on Monday

The pitching was strong on both sides. Perez struck out eight, while L Cabe sat down five.

White Knoll Timberwolves fired up the offense in the first inning, when Abby Gates grounded out, scoring one run.

A double by Cabe in the first inning was a positive for Chapin.

Perez was the winning pitcher for White Knoll Timberwolves. The righthander surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out eight and walking zero.

Cabe took the loss for Chapin. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out five and walking zero.

Ariana Fair went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead White Knoll Timberwolves in hits.
