Hannah Goodwin was an RBI machine on Saturday, driving in four on three hits to lead Timberwolves past Spring Valley 12-3 on Saturday. Goodwin drove in runs on a single in the first, a home run in the second, and a home run in the fourth.
Spring Valley scored three runs in the second inning, but Timberwolves still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Spring Valley came thanks to a single by Marybeth Sullivan and an error on a ball put in play by Jade Mickle.
Timberwolves got things moving in the first inning. Goodwin drove in one when she singled.
Lea Kindrick earned the win for Timberwolves. She allowed five hits and three runs over two innings, walking zero. Briannah Workman threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Molly Coleman took the loss for Spring Valley. She surrendered seven runs on seven hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one.
Gianna Valentie started the game for Spring Valley. She went one-third of an inning, allowing five runs on four hits and walking zero.
Timberwolves launched five home runs on the day. Ginna Leaphart had a four bagger in the first inning. Andrea Lyon had a dinger in the third inning. Madison Miller had a homer in the first inning. Goodwin put one out in the second and fourth innings.
