Four hits from Hannah Goodwin helped lead the way for Timberwolves over Irmo 14-1 on Tuesday. Goodwin doubled in the first, homered in the second, homered in the third, and singled in the fifth. Goodwin’s first homer on the night tied the White Knoll High School homerun record held by Megan Anderson at 33 only to break the record in the third inning with her 34th homer of her career and her 10th of the season.
Timberwolves opened up scoring in the first inning, when Goodwin doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Lea Kindrick pitched Timberwolves to victory. She went four innings, allowing one run on four hits, striking out two and walking zero. Briannah Workman threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
S Rubiez took the loss for Irmo. She went three innings, allowing 12 runs on 12 hits and walking zero.
Timberwolves tallied 16 hits. Goodwin, Ginna Leaphart, Andrea Lyon, and Madison Miller each racked up multiple hits for Timberwolves. Goodwin led Timberwolves with four hits in four at bats.
